The original edition, published in 1994 under the direction of the distinguished oenologist Dr Stavroula Kourakou-Dragona, is widely regarded as a seminal work in Greek oenological literature. Dedicated to the wines of Santorini and the island’s distinctive natural and historical viticultural landscape, the publication is now a rare collector’s item and no longer available to the public.

PostScriptum played a pivotal role in the project, undertaking the drafting and submission of the funding proposal, as well as the overall management of the grant-funded initiative. In this capacity, PostScriptum coordinated all stakeholders, oversaw the implementation-delivered by Polyptychon- and ensured effective communication across all parties, contributing substantially to the successful delivery of the project.

Through this initiative, the Boutaris Foundation reintroduces this important publication to contemporary audiences by harnessing digital technologies to provide free and open access to high-quality cultural content. At the same time, the project highlights the history and sustainability of the Greek vineyard, reinforcing the Foundation’s broader mission.

The initiative forms part of the Foundation’s strategic vision to develop a modern digital library dedicated to Greek wine, bridging cultural heritage with innovative approaches to storytelling and knowledge dissemination. The Boutaris Foundation is actively engaged in the research, documentation and promotion of Greek wine and viticultural traditions, contributing to the preservation and promotion of Greece’s rich wine heritage.

The project was funded by the Ministry of Culture, under the programme “Creative Greece – Contemporary Culture Grants 2024”, within the framework of the “Digital Culture” call.

PostScriptum played a pivotal role in the project, undertaking the drafting and submission of the funding proposal, as well as the overall management of the grant-funded initiative.
